Functions & Responsibilities

The School of Agriculture – Aquaculture was established upon the Decision: 182/2006/QĐ-ĐHTV October 23, 2006. The school is the Unit administering major activities to fulfill the following functions and missions.

Monitor training & teaching curricula, teaching plans, and academic activities; host training periods and other activities in the programs, teaching plans of all departments in the school;

Host activities of science and technology; proactively exploit projects on international cooperation; closely work with organizations of science and technology, manufacturing & business units, combine training with scientific research, production and social life.

Supervise lecturers, teachers, staff and students in the school;

Conduct surveys, assess workforce market demand, link the school with its departments, lecturers, recruiters, business entities, manufacturing units and employees so that training tunes with reality and meets recruiters’ requirements at best; control quality, contents and forms of training and research.

Control developing training programs, course textbooks, teaching materials, conduct research on teaching and learning innovation; propose supplementary plans, maintain all equipment purposefully for teaching, practices, practicum and scientific experiments.

Make plans and propaganda education on politics, ideology, morals, and lifestyles among lecturers, teachers, staff and students, offer training classes to help lecturers, teachers and staff upgrade their major knowledge and professional competence.

Safely and effectively administer and use furniture, technological equipment in the school.

Work with other faculties, offices and units at the university to help Tra Vinh University grow faster and sustainably; closely work with the community, recruiters, units and individuals in and out of the country in order to lift the university’s prestige and rank;

The school of Agri-Aquaculture has departments, attached bodies, library, administration and faculty officers, field stations, experiment, laboratory, consultative & service center run by the school. All of these units are set up at the proposal of the Dean to the Rector.
